Mr. Pryalal Karmakar “Prio” is a United State Marine Veteran, who served an Active Duty in Marine Corps during the year of 1999 to 2004. He has contributed to the US Navy and Marine Corps Education and Training Systems efficiencies affected directly to the service members and the forces. Currently he is in civil service with Defense Health Agency (DHA), Defense Healthcare Head Quarter (DHHQ) formerly known as a TriCare Management Activity (TMA) as a Program Manager. He has developed and implemented the DHA’s Financial Studies System, Budgetary Action Tracking Systems and many Clinical Systems. Mr. Karmakar voluntarily served Bangladesh Center for Community Development, Inc. (BCCDI) (www.dcbanglaschool.com) as an Executive Director, Cultural Director, Vice President and President during the year of 2006-2011. Currently he is serving the non-profit organization Prio Bangla, Inc. (www.priobangla.org) as a President and advisor of many other non-profit organizations. Mr. Karmakar’s dedication and high management skills, along with volunteer team play has produced six multicultural Street festivals, many theatricals, dramatics, music and dance and cultural shows, Arts and Photography Exhibitions and published many publications in Northern Virginia. Also under his strong leadership team Prio Bangla is producing many social services such as Free Medical Clinics, Immigration and legal advice center etc. Mr. Karmakar completed his Bachelor in 2004 and Master in 2008, major in Computer Science from The George Washington University. He is also, the Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) and completed Amphibious Warfare Diploma from Marine Corps University, Quantico, VA. Currently, he is pursuing his Ph.D./Doctorate on Organizational Leadership in a Management and Technologies. He is a member of George Washington University Oracle Academic Initiative and Alpha Sigma Lambda National Honor Society. Mr. Karmakar is also a member of American Bangladesh Coalition Initiative (ABCI) forum which is newly formed for American Bangladeshi Diasporas to interact between the United States and Bangladesh. Mr. Karmakar received numerous appreciations and distinguishes achievement awards like Certificate of Appreciation from Navy College, FOBANA Leadership award, National Defense Medal, Defense Meritorious Masts, Navy Unit Commendations, 5, 10, and 15 years federal length of service awards and many annual excellent performance service awards.
