Multicultural Steet Festival

Event Background:

The Prio Bangla (a Non- Profit Organization) with supporting by Arlington County and recognized by Virginia
Governor is hosting the 9 th annual Street Festival, Saturday, September 24, 2022 for the large diversities and
various ethnics’ community here in Arlington, Virginia. Virginia have lots of socio-cultural organizations who
entertain and promote a handful of cultural programs all year long, however, Prio Bangla is taking special
effort by arranged the multi-cultural street festival here in the Arlington County in an unique way. This
attracted huge crowds from all walks of life. American citizens with various diversities ethnic cultural
members from all over the worlds, especially with our growing immigrant population like, Mexico,
Bangladesh, Peruvian, China, India, Nepal, Ethiopia, Bolivia, Pakistan, Argentina, Afghanistan, Turkish,
Korea, Africa, Mongolia and many more are very excited and expecting to see this type of event in
Washington DC, Metro Area.

Our motto for this year is, “Let’s Celebrate the Cultural Diversity”.

During this event, our goal is not only to promote Bengali culture and heritage, as one of our organization
commitment to this community, but also to participate in a cultural exchange by giving opportunity to other
communities living and growing here with our rich cultural beauty and performances. There will be various
types of stalls/vendors of traditional foods, handcrafts, arts, jewelry, realtors, paintings, heena mehendi art,
training companies, Multi purposes services companies (IT, Medical Supply, Food product, Financial Services,
etc.), bankers, boutiques, clothing and product show.

By simply the trading and transferring of ideas, customs, beliefs, cultural habits etc. between diverse cultures
living here in the USA, we would be able to accomplish our vision of living in harmony in this community. As
part of Arlington County Art group, Prio Bangla were to set a good example and continue to achieve an
excellent public appeal and relations for the various community, a very important milestone for our
community, and encourage us to host such events annually with Arlington County’s help and sponsor.
We are expecting 8,000-10,000 people thru out the day. The festival setup start from 6:00 am and open for
public from 11:00 am. Our pick hours is 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm. It is an outdoor event; however, we will have the
County Mobile stage where local and international very famous multicultural performers will perform all day
long.

Our invited guests are: US Congressman Don Beyer and Garry Connolly, US Senator Mark Warner, Secretary
of State Michael R. Pompeo, Mainstream Delegates, Virginia State Governor, Arlington County Board Chair,
Chair of Arlington Arts Commissions, Arlington County Police Chief, Ambassador of many countries.
Arlington Multi Cultural Department Officers and various social and multi-cultural organizations’ leaders
living at the northern Virginia and Washington DC Tristate (VA/MD/DC).
